Sierra Nevada House Hotel

The Sierra Nevada House was built at the peak of the Gold Rush near Sutter's Mill along the American River around 1848.

The house was in operation as a hotel in 1902, when it burned down.  The Sierra Nevada House burned down and was rebuilt multiple times.  The house which stands today was rebuilt after a fire in 1925.

Many say that this historical fixture from the Old West is haunted by many spirits.

It is a site often target by ghost hunters and those looking to glimpse the supernatural.
